Will a Google Pixel 10 Case Fit the Google Pixel 11?

A Google Pixel 10 case can fit the standard Pixel 11 in some designs, but the two generations should not be treated as universally case-compatible. Both phones have the same official external dimensions, so their overall size does not prevent an older case from fitting around the Pixel 11.

The differences are in areas where a case has to match the hardware more precisely. The Pixel 11 uses a redesigned, thinner camera bar, while microphone openings, button positions, and closely molded sections can determine whether an older case aligns correctly. The result depends on the construction of the specific Pixel 10 case.

Pixel 10 vs Pixel 11 Dimensions

Google lists the standard Pixel 10 and Pixel 11 with identical external measurements. The Pixel 11 is lighter, but its height, width, and thickness are unchanged.

ModelHeightWidthThicknessWeight
Pixel 10152.8 mm72.0 mm8.6 mm204 g
Pixel 11152.8 mm72.0 mm8.6 mm197 g

That shared footprint explains why a Pixel 10 case can fit around the Pixel 11, but external dimensions do not account for the shape and position of smaller hardware features.

How Does the Pixel 11 Camera Bar Affect Case Fit?

The rear camera section changed between the two generations. The standard Pixel 11 replaces the Pixel 10’s metal-edged camera visor with an edge-to-edge glass bar and a slimmer raised profile. The flash is also positioned within the glass camera section instead of sitting in the colored metal area beside it.

Camera opening style matters as well. A case with one broad opening around the entire camera section leaves more room for differences in the bar’s outline and hardware placement. Cases with individual lens openings, a separate flash opening, or a closely molded camera surround require much more precise alignment.

What About Pixelsnap and Magnetic Charging?

Both the Pixel 10 and Pixel 11 support Google’s Pixelsnap magnetic system, but reusing an older case can also affect how well magnetic accessories work. Google states that magnetic attachment and wireless charging work best without a case or with a case designed for Qi2 charging.

A Pixel 10 case that fits the Pixel 11 should therefore also be tested with any magnetic charger or stand you use. A non-magnetic case can weaken the magnetic connection or make wireless charging less reliable even when the case otherwise fits correctly.

What Happens With a Real Pixel 10 Case on the Pixel 11?

In an r/GooglePixel discussion, one Pixel 11 owner used a Pixel 10 Spigen case while waiting for a replacement case to arrive. The case fit around the phone, but the owner reported that the top microphone opening was slightly off-center.

Another commenter in the same discussion reported a camera-area fit problem with a Spigen Thin Fit.

How to Check an Existing Pixel 10 Case on a Pixel 11

Start with the corners and sidewalls. The phone should sit completely inside the case without a corner lifting, a side bowing outward, or part of the frame pulling away from the phone.

Inspect the camera section next. The case should sit around the camera bar without overlapping the glass, pressing against the raised hardware, or being forced out of position.

Press the power and volume buttons several times. Each button should respond from its normal position rather than requiring pressure above or below the control.

Check the top microphone opening independently. The rest of the case can fit correctly even when this small opening does not align with the microphone underneath.

Connect a USB-C cable and inspect the lower edge. The plug should insert fully, and the case material should not extend across the speaker or microphone openings.

If the body, camera section, buttons, microphone opening, and lower cutouts all align correctly, that particular Pixel 10 case is usable on the Pixel 11. A mismatch at any of those points means the case should not be treated as fully compatible simply because the phone fits inside it.

Should You Keep a Pixel 10 Case or Buy a New Case?

If you already own a Pixel 10 case, testing it on the Pixel 11 is reasonable.

For a new purchase, choose a case made for the Pixel 11. Its mold is based on the current camera profile and hardware positions, removing the need to rely on the tolerances of a case built for the previous generation.

The practical distinction is simple: an existing Pixel 10 case is worth checking, but a new case should match the Pixel 11 directly.
